Felting Retreat

May 19-21
Register Now!
Friday evening through Sunday noon

Lodging and meals provided at A Wrinkle In Thyme Farm, leaving you plenty of time to become absorbed in several felting projects, either needle felting or wet felting.  Jen Bell will teach 3D needle felting sheep or mice.  Donna Murphy will teach wet felting a hat.  Participate in one of these classes, or bring ideas for your own felting creation.  The farm store is full of inspiration and materials, and we will share our skills.  Meet the lambs that grow the wool we use to felt. $250 for the weekend, with a $40 deposit required to hold your place.  Come just for one of the classes, or for the whole weekend.

Farm Spinning

Wednesday, May 17 and June 14
10 am to 2 pm

Bring your wheel or knitting, and join us for a free spinning group and potluck lunch.

 

Felting Friday

May 5 and June 9
1-3 pm

Great for beginners as well as inspiration for seasoned felters! Make a Thyme Tile, start to finish, or bring your own project. We will be working on a ladyslipper flower in May, and a hummingbird in June. Bring your tools or use ours.  Please let us know if you are planning to attend. $30 includes fiber materials.

Shearing Day

10 am until done

You are invited to join us for the day and potluck lunch.  Learn about fleece evaluation at the skirting table or help in the barn with the animals.

Natural Dyeing Workshop

June 10, 10-4

Learn to dye wool with plants, including indigo, marigolds, and madder root.  $45 for the day – bring 4-6 oz of your own natural fiber to dye, or purchase some in the farm store.  Bring a bag lunch.  Register here.

Knitters Field Trip

We will go to the New Aim Fiber Mill in Waldoboro, lunch at Morse’s Sauerkraut & European Deli, and explore knitting shops along the coast.  Email or call for carpooling information.  All are welcome.
