2020 has changed the openness of the farm. Visitors are still welcome to visit the farm as small family units, shop in our little store, and see the sheep in the fields.. Please make an appointment to avoid transmission of the virus. Please wear a mask and maintain 6 foot social distancing.
In the past our annual events included Maine Maple Weekend in the spring and our Natural Fiber Showcase before the Chritmas holidays. Shearing days usually occur 1-3 times per year and are open to the public. Classes, retreats, and gatherings happen throughout the year.
Maine Maple Weekend, March 23-24, 2019
Pancake breakfast 8-11 am BOTH DAYS. Lamb sausage, sap tea and sap coffee available. Sheep’s milk ice cream samples from The Friendly Ewe. Farm open until 4 pm both days. Lambs in the barn, tours of sugar house with wood-fired evaporator. Shop in the yarn store. Kid-friendly.
A great day for our fiber community to work together helping skirt fleeces. Learn about skirting fleeces and how to evaluate a fleece for hand spinning: length, softness, cleanliness, and consistency. Some fleeces available for purchase. Bring a dish to share and bring your spinning wheel, knitting or felting project.
